English Defence League Leader Jailed

Stephen Lennon the leader of the EDL will spending the next 10 months in prison after being jailed for possession of a false identity document with improper intention. Lennon used another persons passport to enter the United States of America, before using his own passport to successfully return to the UK.

    ‘ possession of a false identity document with improper intention..’
    Never heard of this! If a journalist blags their way into a private gathering with a borrowed pass, will they go to jail? What’s an improper intention in English law? Surely US immigration policy is their own concern?
